Daniele Calcaterra graduated in law with distinction at the University of Verona and has been a civil law expert at its Law faculty since 2001.
He has a master's degree in business contracts and another, from the University of Bologna, as a Law and Food Safety consultant.

He has experience in the fields of civil, commercial, and food and wine law, as well as in international trade law and is currently a member of the Union of Jurists of the Vine and Wine (UGIVI) and of the Italian Association of Food Law (AIDA).
Daniele has written publications and spoken at conferences in the fields of civil law, international trade and agribusiness.

He speaks Italian and English.
